Afghanaid has worked alongside Afghan communities for over two decades. We currently work directly with over 500,000 adults and children focusing on long term sustainable development in rural areas.
In a country where 1 in 5 children die before the age of 5, our work has an immediate effect helping build a future where people have healthier lives.
Our vision is of a peaceful and secure Afghanistan, where Afghans exercise their rights to political freedom and economic opportunity in a country where institutions are held accountable. Afghanaid works alongside poor and marginalised Afghans to increase their chances and capabilities to enjoy sustainable and fair economic and social development.
